Creation begins when we play with purpose
What can we create together?
a little about me
Outside of the theatre, you can usually find Lydia dancing in her kitchen, curled up with a blanket and a memoir, or scouting spots for the best rooftop happy hour. Lydia firmly believes in creating work that questions norms, affects change, and inspires laughter. She wants to be a part of that change whether onstage, backstage, or teaching the artists of tomorrow.
Her favorite way to work towards this goal is by producing working with developing artists at all stages through her new work initiative, The Forge Series. She offers private coachings, group masterclasses, and works with the Spotlight Program at Hennepin Theatre Trust, helping students of acting, singing, and stage management alike learn to grow and continue to play.
Lydia is currently teaches Musical Theatre at Texas Tech University. She holds a Master of Music in Musical Theatre Vocal Pedagogy from Carthage College and Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre from Oklahoma City University.
